The 1463 was a straightforward, no-frills bass amp,
and was part of the all-too-brief Danelectro Solid State family - the last of
the Dano-made Silvertones.
Volume/bass/treble controls on two inputs. 35 watts of clean, solid-state power
into one big 15" speaker. That speaker was in a BIG honkin' cabinet: it
measured 20 inches wide, 9 inches deep, and if you stacked the amp on top of the
cab for that cool Stonehenge look, it was three feet tall!
Introduced:
Spring/Summer 1968 at $119.95
as the 57H1485N
Retired:
Fall/Winter 1968 at $119.95
as the 57H1463N

I'll have some pictures up here ASAP. Enjoy the catalog listings!

The 1463 had some nice 'roadie' handles for ease in hefting it to
and from gigs, and of course the amp easily stows in the bottom of the speaker
cabinet. You also get 25 feet of cable from amp to cabinet. With so much cable,
the 1463 could be put into service as a PA system in a pinch.
