The show continues. The song is 'Everything You Want's Against he Law.' A late period WP piece, and an infrequent set opener. They'll sneak up on us tonight, rather than hit us over the head first thing with 'Frankenstein's Daughter,' a very frequent set opener during the time I was with them. There was a brief spot where 'Besame Mucho,' complete with 'cha cha chas' would open the set, delighting or puzzling those who came to see Waxing Poetics. Available on 'Never Were, Never There,' this slow and spooky song, 'Law,' takes you to a scary 'tiny town,' that you'd rather just be passing through than stop at. I'd love to make a movie of the story this song implies. I also remember a demo tape of Dave doing this one. And Robot Monster Lover #9. And others. Crazy tape.
