The 1445 was part of the late-68 'Japanese Invasion'
of the Sears catalog. Sporting a rather Moserite-y shape, the 1445 was the top
of the incoming solidbody line of Japanese-made electrics. With three pickups,
LOTS of binding, a whammy setup, a 'solo' selector switch, and a snazzy inlaid 'Silvertone'
logo, this was the Cadillac of Silvertone Teiscos.
Introduced:
Fall/Winter 1968 as the 57H1445 at $88.95
Retired:
Spring/Summer 1970
as the 57K1445 at $88.95
Became a 1441 briefly as a block-logo Silvertone before changing into a 'Space
Dot' branded guitar, lasting at least until 1972.
