

These Stratotones were from our friends at 'H
Co.' That's the name that would sometimes appear on Sears boxes to try
and disguise the fact that they were in fact, Harmony made guitars. The 1326 and
1327 were listed in only one major seasonal catalog, Spring/Summer 1959 (see
below), and we have a few rare examples of the 1326 in the last row of photos.

The 1326, 1327,
1420 and 1421are
all Stratotone-derived axes from Harmony. The 132X series was a nice 'shaded
sunburst' available in 1 or two p/u models with a brief window of availability
that makes them a bit rarer the their brothers (sisters, cousins, whatever) the
more widely available (then and today) 1420 and 1421. These were two-pickups
guitars
available in black and 'shaded walnut.' As you can see by the photos to
the left, 1420/21s abound... 1326/27s... not so much.
