'Wish Book' only
deals resulted in some rare birds - these 1304 guitars and their accompanying amps,
for example. I've recently come across all three Wish Book entries for these
combos. If you look
closely, you'll see the illustration for all three years was the same,
except for one detail.

The 1304 series of models were Wish Book only guitars that sold
very well, if today's collectors market is any indication. These mid-pickup'd
(much like a very few of the earliest 1448s) guitars were an interesting
'hybrid', the middle pickup placement was unique in the U body series family,
and even during the era of the aluminum cavity cover when 'dolphin nose'
headstocks ruled, these Coke-bottle headstock'd models were available complete
with the 'swoop' cutaway.
