The 1211 enjoyed a short, exciting life. Just look at that happy guy strumming
down there! I have a gap in my catalogs for Spring/Summer '68, so I don't know
if the 1211 was introduced then or not. I do know that the 1210 was
available just before the 1211, in Fall/Winter 1968.

The 1211 was the last of the breed; you wouldn't see
anymore block-markered, trapeze-tailed, round-holed guitars bearing the
Silvertone name after this one. Well, really you wouldn't see any more guitars
at all bearing the Silvertone name for much longer, as the Spring/Summer '70
catalog was chock-full of 'Space Dots.'
Preceded in looks and features by the
1210, Harmony-made (now bearing the 8/9 digit 'middle S/8' stamped codes), these
were available late in the game in the block logo'd style, the catalog
illustration I have is a script style.
Introduced/Retired:
1969 as the
57G01211L for $26.95, would have been available into the early months of 1970.
